Out of the Jurisdiction: Water Lilies

Tuesday was the day for a visit to Claude Monet's house and gardens in Giverny.
It rained, heavily at times, so the big camera was left behind.  This is an iPhone photo.
The gardens are lush.  It is easy to see why Monet spent so much time painting them.

The people with umbrellas add something to this already beautiful shot, Jack!

The rain and the subject matter give this an immediate impressionistic effect. Great stuff.

I am re-living my one visit to Giverny through your photo. Thank you. That was all the way back in 2003 ---- so it's good to have a current look. And wow! It still looks magnificent. I think the rain makes your photo even more enchanting! Merci beaucoup!

Pretty as a picture - and a victory for the iPhone, I'd say..

Spectacular! You must have noticed how Monet-esque the rain has made this shot. It's gorgeous!
